Marco Mason is phD in Design Science with a thesis about the design of mobile-based visitor experience for museums, titled “Designing Mobile Visitor Experience. Shifting the Focus from the Technology to the Visitor”.
Since 2003 he has carried on activities of research and teaching in the field of communication design for multimedia for heritage.
He has recently won a Marie Curie Fellowship for a research project that aims to investigate design theory and practices of digital media for heritage. He will conduct the research at: the School of Museum Studies (University of Leicester, UK); Science, Technology, and Society Program (MIT-Boston); and MIT Museum.
